One Body representing Angling as our Sport & Recreation in Ireland.

The Angling Council of Ireland is the registered and funded angling NGB with Sport Ireland and recognised as the umbrella body representing several different branches of angling in Ireland, these are  Sea Angling, Coarse Angling, Predator (Pike and Perch) Angling, Salmon and Trout Angling.

We provide a platform for anglers to address and find resolutions to their issues and ensure the voice of angling is clearly heard. Together with Sport Ireland Coaching and Sport Ireland we developed a successful coaching programme providing over 300 of our members with certification. We represent all disciplines in angling at national and international level and support junior development with our AFYDI and ACI Angling CAST programmes.
