Sport Ireland Sport Development Conference 2025

The Angling Council of Ireland were selected to present our angling programmes during the recent conference at Sports HQ.   In addition to presenting, we also had a stand where we provided all the Sport Ireland Development Officers  with examples of angling adaptive equipment.

This was very well received by all. We brought along the wheelchair accessible boat, some kayaks which are adapted for hand and foot steering, left or right side, and had electric motors fitted.  We displayed some adapted fly fishing rods and reels for one hand users  and similarly for spinning or casting rods and reels, we also showcased some semi automatic reels and electric deep sea equipment.  Great interactions over the 2 day event at the Sports Arena.  The feedback we received was great.
